Differential temperature log

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001075

A record of the temperature difference between two sensors, typically spaced a few feet apart, as they are moved through a wellbore. This log identifies fluid entry or exit points, gas leaks, and cement tops by detecting localized temperature anomalies. The measurement is expressed in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit per unit of depth.
