Temperature log

A continuous record of temperature versus depth in a wellbore, obtained by lowering a temperature sensor into the well. It detects anomalies caused by fluid movement, gas expansion, or cement hydration. Temperature logs are used to identify fluid entry points, locate leaks in casing, and evaluate cement integrity behind pipe.
