En echelon

Describing a series of short, parallel, or subparallel geological features that are offset from each other along a larger, underlying structural trend. These features, such as faults or folds, are typically arranged obliquely to the overall trend. En echelon fault arrays are common in strike-slip fault zones and can create complex hydrocarbon traps.
