Finite-wellbore solution
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001424
A solution of the radial diffusivity equation for a well of finite radius, with the constant production rate applied at the wellbore wall instead of along a mathematical line, so it differs from the line-source solution. The two agree once the pressure disturbance has travelled far beyond the wellbore radius, but the finite-wellbore form is the correct one at early times. Wellbore storage and skin are added to it as further boundary conditions.
