Transient drainage radius
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003891
The radius of the reservoir area that is actively being affected by pressure changes due to production or injection from a well at a given time. This radius expands outward from the wellbore as the pressure transient propagates through the reservoir. It is a theoretical concept used in transient well test analysis to understand the extent of reservoir investigation.
