Fixed source method
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001440
A geophysical survey technique where the energy source remains at a stationary position while receivers are moved to different locations to record data. This method is often employed in electrical resistivity or electromagnetic surveys to map subsurface conductivity variations. It contrasts with moving source-receiver geometries used in many seismic surveys.
