Moved hydrocarbons

Hydrocarbons that have been displaced from their original position within the formation, typically by the invasion of drilling mud filtrate. These hydrocarbons are pushed further into the formation ahead of the invading mud. The presence of moved hydrocarbons can affect resistivity log readings in the invaded zone.
