Moveable hydrocarbons
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002431
The portion of hydrocarbons within a reservoir rock that can be produced and flow to the wellbore under reservoir conditions. This fraction excludes irreducible hydrocarbons, which are bound to the rock matrix by capillary forces. The volume of moveable hydrocarbons is a key factor in estimating recoverable reserves.
