Flowing neutron log
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004327
A neutron log recorded while a well is producing and compared with a shut-in run, used to locate gas entry or the gas-liquid interface in the wellbore. The comparison works because gas has a much lower hydrogen index than oil or water, so it changes the neutron count rate where it enters or accumulates.
