Fluid compressibility
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001501
The fractional change in fluid volume per unit change in pressure. This property indicates how much a fluid's volume will decrease under increasing pressure or expand under decreasing pressure. For reservoir fluids, it is measured in reciprocal pounds per square inch (psi^-1) or reciprocal kilopascals (kPa^-1).
