Fluid tester
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001509
A downhole tool run on wireline or coiled tubing to collect reservoir fluid samples and measure their properties under in-situ conditions. It isolates a section of the formation and draws fluid into sample chambers while recording pressure, temperature, and resistivity. This data provides real-time information on fluid type, gas-oil ratio, and contamination levels before bringing samples to the surface for detailed laboratory analysis, confirming fluid contacts and assessing reservoir connectivity.
