Huff and puff

A cyclic injection process used in enhanced oil recovery, particularly for heavy oil, where a solvent or steam is injected into a well for a period (huff), allowed to soak, and then the well is put back on production (puff). This cycle is repeated to mobilize and recover oil. It is also known as cyclic steam stimulation.
