Humidity

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001879

The amount of water vapor present in the air, expressed as a percentage of the maximum amount the air can hold at a given temperature (relative humidity) or as the absolute mass of water vapor per unit volume of air. High humidity can affect the stability and performance of certain drilling fluid additives, particularly those that are hygroscopic. It is measured with a hygrometer.
