Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001947
A rotating component within a flowmeter, typically a spinner, that is driven by the movement of fluid in the wellbore. The rotation rate of the impeller is proportional to the fluid velocity, allowing for the calculation of flow rates. Impellers are a key component of mechanical flowmeters used in production logging.
