Impressed current anodes
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001950
Electrodes used in cathodic protection systems that are connected to an external direct current power source to provide a protective current to metallic structures. Unlike galvanic anodes, they do not rely on a potential difference between dissimilar metals. These systems are often used for large structures like pipelines and offshore platforms, where higher current output is required.
