Impulsive seismic data
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001953
Seismic data acquired using a source that generates a short-duration, high-amplitude pulse, such as dynamite or an air gun. This type of source produces a broad frequency spectrum, allowing for high-resolution imaging of the subsurface. The resulting seismic traces are characterized by distinct, sharp arrivals.
