Nondestructive examination (NDE)

A group of inspection techniques used to evaluate the integrity, properties, and condition of materials, components, or systems without causing damage. These methods allow for the detection of flaws, discontinuities, and material degradation that could compromise operational safety or performance. Common NDE techniques in oil and gas include ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and magnetic particle inspection.
