Phase redistribution
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002770
The dynamic movement and rearrangement of different fluid phases (oil, gas, water) within a wellbore or porous medium, particularly during shut-in periods or changes in flow rate. This phenomenon can cause pressure transients that complicate well test analysis. It is often associated with wellbore storage effects.
