Portland cement clinker

The intermediate product formed by heating limestone and clay or other materials to high temperatures in a kiln, prior to grinding into finished Portland cement. This material consists of nodular particles, typically 3 to 25 millimeters in diameter. It is then ground with gypsum to produce the final cement powder.
