Pressure buildup analysis
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002913
A well test technique where a producing well is shut in, and the subsequent increase in bottomhole pressure is measured and analyzed over time. This analysis provides information about reservoir properties such as permeability, skin factor, and reservoir boundaries. The data is typically plotted on a semilog graph to identify characteristic flow regimes.
