Pressure depletion

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004421

The reduction in reservoir pressure over time due to the withdrawal of fluids. This decline is a natural consequence of production and affects the driving mechanism for fluid flow to the wellbore. Pressure depletion can be monitored through periodic well tests and is a key factor in estimating remaining reserves.
