Pull-up
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002992
An apparent upward displacement of seismic reflection events on a time section, caused by an overlying high-velocity anomaly. This effect makes deeper horizons appear shallower than their true depth. Pull-up is a common velocity-related artifact that must be accounted for during time-to-depth conversion to accurately map subsurface structures.
