Pulsed-neutron holdup log

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002996

A logging technique that uses a pulsed neutron generator to measure the volumetric fraction of different fluids (oil, water, gas) in a wellbore. By analyzing the capture cross-section of neutrons, it can differentiate between fluids based on their elemental composition, particularly the presence of hydrogen and chlorine. This log is effective in cased holes for determining fluid saturations.
