Radio silence

A period during which all radio frequency transmissions are prohibited or severely restricted in a specific area, often around a well site. This measure is implemented to prevent accidental detonation of electrically initiated devices, such as perforating guns, by stray electromagnetic signals. It is a standard safety protocol during certain well operations.
