Resolution matched
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003132
Describing a set of log measurements that have been processed so that they all have the same vertical resolution. This processing is applied because logging tools inherently have different vertical resolutions; for example, a density log sees finer beds than a deep induction log. Matching is achieved by applying mathematical filters to the high-resolution logs to degrade their response to match that of the lowest-resolution log in the set.
