Setting tool

A downhole device used to activate and set packers, plugs, or other completion equipment in a wellbore. It applies the necessary force, either mechanically, hydraulically, or explosively, to expand and anchor the equipment against the casing or tubing wall. The setting tool is typically run on wireline, slickline, or coiled tubing.
