Spacing

The distance between seismic source points, receiver stations, or boreholes in a survey design. Proper spacing is determined by the target depth, desired resolution, and geological complexity of the area being investigated. In seismic acquisition, common receiver spacing can range from a few meters to hundreds of meters.
