Test separator
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004470
A specialized vessel used to separate and individually measure the flow rates of oil, gas, and water from a single well or a group of wells. Unlike a production separator that commingles fluids, a test separator isolates a well's output for performance evaluation, production allocation, or diagnostics. These units are equipped with dedicated meters for each phase and can be permanent installations or portable units for well testing campaigns.
