Vertical separator

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004036

A cylindrical pressure vessel oriented vertically, used to separate oil, gas, and water from a wellstream. This configuration is often preferred when space is limited or when the fluid contains a high gas-to-liquid ratio. Gas exits from the top, while liquids are collected at the bottom, with an interface level maintained between oil and water.
