Vinyl acetate-maleic anhydride copolymer
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004047
A synthetic polymer used as a fluid loss control additive in water-based drilling fluids. It functions by adsorbing onto formation surfaces and forming a low-permeability filter cake, thereby reducing the invasion of drilling fluid into the reservoir. This copolymer is effective in high-temperature and high-salinity environments.
