300 mm

Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000010

A standard diameter for silicon wafers used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Wafers of this size, approximately 12 inches, allow for the production of a significantly larger number of integrated circuits per wafer compared to smaller diameters. The transition to 300 mm wafers required substantial investments in new fabrication equipment and facilities due to their increased size and weight.
