Czochralski growth
Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000079
A method for producing large, high-purity single crystals of semiconductor materials, such as silicon, by slowly pulling a seed crystal from a melt. This process allows for precise control over crystal diameter and dopant concentration. The resulting ingots are then sliced into wafers for integrated circuit manufacturing.
