Laminar flow
Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000191
A type of fluid flow where the fluid moves in parallel layers with no disruption between them. In semiconductor cleanrooms, air is directed in a uniform, unidirectional flow across the work area to sweep away airborne particles. This controlled airflow minimizes contamination and is a defining characteristic of ISO Class 1 cleanrooms.
