Accurate mass tag
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000119
A peptide or protein identified by its accurate mass and chromatographic retention time, used as a reference for identifying other components in complex biological samples. This approach enables high-throughput protein identification and quantification without requiring tandem mass spectrometry for every component. It is often employed in proteomics studies.
