Acid digestion

A sample preparation technique involving the dissolution of a solid or liquid sample in a strong acid or mixture of acids. This process breaks down the sample matrix and converts analytes into a soluble form suitable for analysis. It is frequently used for elemental analysis of environmental or biological samples.
