Microwave acid digestion

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007368

A sample preparation technique that uses microwave energy to rapidly heat and digest samples in strong acid solutions. The microwave radiation directly heats the acid and sample, accelerating the dissolution of analytes from complex matrices. This method is widely used for preparing samples for elemental analysis by techniques such as ICP-OES or ICP-MS.
