Bomb-digestion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001412
A sample preparation technique that involves heating a sample in a sealed, high-pressure vessel (a bomb) with strong acids or other reagents. This method is used to completely dissolve or decompose solid samples, converting analytes into a solution suitable for subsequent analysis. It is particularly effective for refractory materials or samples requiring complete dissolution.
