Closed-vessel acid digestion

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002136

A sample preparation technique where a sample is digested with strong acids in a sealed container, typically under elevated temperature and pressure. This method prevents the loss of volatile analytes and minimizes contamination from the environment. Microwave-assisted digestion in closed vessels is a common application.
