Microwave-assisted extraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007370
An extraction technique that employs microwave energy to heat a solvent and sample mixture, enhancing the transfer of analytes from the sample matrix into the solvent. The rapid heating by microwaves increases the solubility and diffusion rates of the analytes. This method significantly reduces extraction times and solvent consumption compared to conventional techniques.
