Pressurized-liquid extraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009414
An extraction technique that uses organic solvents or water at elevated temperatures and pressures to extract analytes from solid or semi-solid samples. The high temperature increases analyte solubility and diffusion rates, while the pressure maintains the solvent in a liquid state above its normal boiling point. This method offers faster extraction times and reduced solvent consumption compared to traditional techniques.
