Middle atmosphere

The region of the Earth's atmosphere situated above the troposphere and below the thermosphere, encompassing the stratosphere and the mesosphere. This layer extends from approximately 10 km to 85 km in altitude. It is characterized by the presence of the ozone layer, which absorbs ultraviolet radiation.
