Mesopause

The boundary layer in the Earth's atmosphere that separates the mesosphere from the thermosphere. It represents the coldest region of the atmosphere, with temperatures typically around -100 degrees Celsius. This transition zone is located at an altitude of approximately 80 to 85 kilometers above the Earth's surface.
