Acoustic neuroma

A benign, slow-growing tumor that develops on the vestibulocochlear nerve, which connects the inner ear to the brain. This tumor originates from Schwann cells that cover the nerve, leading to symptoms such as hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance problems. It is also known as a vestibular schwannoma.
