Alkylideneaminoxyl radicals
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000406
Radicals of the form R2C=N-O with the unpaired electron on the oxygen end of a single N-O bond and a double bond from nitrogen to carbon. They are also called iminoxyl radicals and form when an oxime loses its hydroxyl hydrogen atom, for example on oxidation. Their EPR spectra show a large nitrogen hyperfine splitting.
