Aneroid barometer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000583

A device used to measure atmospheric pressure without the use of a liquid, unlike a mercury barometer. It consists of a sealed, evacuated metal capsule that expands or contracts with changes in external air pressure. These movements are mechanically amplified and displayed on a dial, providing a direct reading of pressure.
