Attenuated vaccine
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000932
A type of vaccine that contains a weakened, live form of the pathogen, which has been modified to lose its ability to cause disease but can still replicate in the host. This replication induces a strong, long-lasting immune response, often mimicking natural infection. Examples include the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine.
