Live attenuated vaccine
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006710
A vaccine prepared from living microorganisms (viruses or bacteria) that have been weakened or modified so they can no longer cause disease but can still stimulate an immune response. These vaccines induce a strong, long-lasting immune response, often mimicking natural infection. Examples include vaccines for measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox.
