DNA vaccination
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003366
A method of immunization that involves introducing a plasmid DNA encoding a specific antigen into a host organism. The host cells then express the antigen, triggering an immune response without the need for live pathogens. This approach can induce both humoral and cellular immunity, offering a potentially safer and more stable vaccine platform.
