Auditory tube

A narrow passage connecting the middle ear to the nasopharynx, also known as the Eustachian tube. Its primary function is to equalize pressure between the middle ear and the outside atmosphere, and to drain mucus from the middle ear. Dysfunction of this tube can lead to ear infections or hearing problems.
