Tympanic

Relating to or situated in the middle ear, specifically concerning the tympanic membrane or eardrum. It also describes the tympanic cavity, the air-filled space behind the eardrum. In toxicology, tympanic temperature measurement is a non-invasive method for estimating core body temperature by sensing infrared radiation from the eardrum.
